Summary of Findings
Motivation is key when it comes to student success. Without motivation, a student would simply not care to learn or achieve! So how and what theories are out there to help understand motivation, and how can educators ensure that their students stay motivated to learn?
Self-Efficacy
Since self-efficacy is a persons individual beliefs about personal competence in a situation, having high self-efficacy can have a positive affect on motivation and achievement while low self-efficacy does just the opposite.
Learners with low self-efficacy tend to dwell on their mishaps and deficiencies and think that tasks are too difficult.
